It’s easy (and commonplace) for a company to claim they are ‘focused’ on web design. But look closely at how they describe themselves …
Does that company sell traditional media (print, TV, radio) design or production services? Understanding and keeping current with internet trends and technologies can be a real stretch for organizations attempting to serve both the traditional and new media markets.
Do they also offer website hosting? Web hosting is a complex business in itself, requiring significant attention to the day-to-day technical issues with servers, internet routing, connectivity, software updates, etc. That can easily distract from your website project.
As a convenience for our clients, we can make arrangements to host your site at any of several reliable and inexpensive Internet Service Providers — but then we leave that work to them. You should too.

Our philosophy regarding good website design is one of the biggest differences between ourselves and most other companies.
It’s popular to try and overcome the lack of useful information on a website by offering elaborate animation or other distractions. Objects dance, spin, flash, explode, or morph into different shapes and colors. There’s often no clear message to visitors, just visual effects. It’s entertaining — but unless you’re Disney or Universal Studios, those features have proven ineffective in increasing business. There are plenty of web design companies producing such a product.
